An Atlas V rocket successfully launched from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral today at 18:28 UTC carrying NASA's latest Spacecraft to Mars - MAVEN. The Atlas V rocket was in the 401 configuration - the most basic with no solid rocket motors. Mars Atmosphere and Volatile EvolutioN (MAVEN) will orbit Mars and try figure out what happened to the water in the Mars atmosphere.
